The wood-based panels segment has been growing and gaining ground since its implantation in Brazil. However, although this industry is constantly expanding, innovations are necessary, always seeking the best performance of the final product, in view of an increasingly competitive market. Nowadays, it is verified that an alternative to improve the materials properties in the most diverse segments is the nanotechnology use. In this way it is possible to implement improvements in the product through the use of nanoparticles, aiming to improve certain the panels based on wood characteristics, providing better the physical-mechanical performance properties of the same. The purpose of this work is to evaluate the influence of the addition of aluminum oxide (Al2O3) and copper oxide (CuO) nanoparticles on medium density wood particles (MDP) panels produced with urea-formaldehyde resin to verify the material interference added at two different temperatures, these being 150 ° and 180 ° C, also analyzing the physical-mechanical properties of the panel, in order to evaluate the improvement in the pressing temperature and, consequently, better panel performance. The results obtained will be compared with the Brazilian standard NBR 14810-2: 2013 and with the European standard EN 312: 2003, as well as with works found in the literature. (AU)
