Abstract

The Medium Density Particleboards arrived in the market to revolutionize the knowledge about the ancient agglomerate particleboards and have shown increasing development, particularly at the end of the 20th century, making an attractive alternative product for engineered wood products. Although the panel's industry show growth, innovations are necessary, always looking at improving the final product. In this way it is possible to implement the manufacturing process through the use of nanoparticles, aiming to improve the properties of the panels, providing the performance improvement on heat transfer and ensuring their physical-mechanical properties. Thus, this study aims to evaluate the influence of the zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles addition in medium density particleboards (MDP) to check the interference of the added material as in heat transfer far as two different pressure temperatures, beyond their physical and mechanics properties. The result will be compared with the Brazilian standard NBR 14810-2 (2013) and the European standard EN 312 (2003), both with others studies in the literature. (AU)
