Abstract

The aim of this research project is to develop an exploratory and comparative study about journalistic content analysis related to contemporary alternative media, produced by the Satire Portal, in the city of Parintins/AM and the newspaper Dois, in the city of Bauru/SP. Thus, it seeks to understand how alternative journalism is being developed today and what its struggles and resistances are. The theoretical basis is based on the works of Abramo (1988), Chinem (1995) and Downing (2002) to the most recent ones like Peruzzo (2009 and 2013) and Fiorucci (2011). The methodology used is the bibliographic review and discourse analysis proposed by Bardin (2009). The research questions are: what kind of journalism does the Satire Portal and Jornal Dois produce? Are they alternative to what? What are the main features of these alternative means? (AU)
