Abstract

With the development of society and the increase technological and industrial resources, there is also an increase in the generation of waste. Many of these wastes can be reintroduced into the production cycle through the recycling process. The consumption of oil is part of the daily lives of families, restaurants and industries and with it the incorrect disposal of used cooking oil becomes a serious environmental problem. When it is dumped in the communal garbage, it seals and contaminates the soil. In the sewage system it compromises the pipes of the residences and the cities. When it reaches the rivers, it forms a film in the water that prevents the passage of light and oxygen to the aquatic flora and fauna. The objective of this work is to develop practical equipment that facilitates the storage and reuse of cooking oil, transforming it into ecological soap, in order to facilitate the correct handling and disposal of this residue. The environmental impact resulting from the incorrect disposal of this residue will be studied and analyzed, and with this, it is also intended to develop a less aggressive way of reusing kitchen oil in the production of ecological soap. The production of this product can reduce domestic expenses in the purchase of soap, generate extra income for housewives, since with equipment that can aid in the production of soap, they can collect oil used in their community, produce soap, and commercialize it. Finally, we will study the best way to implant such equipment in homes and small restaurants, dimensioning an ideal oil storage capacity, setting up a recipe for the production of a certain amount of soap, as well as encouraging the reuse of this waste as well as its disposal right.
