Abstract

This research aims at analyzing the potential of circus activities for the qualitative construction of interpersonal relationships in school life, encouraged by the artistic, aesthetic and affective acuity and the communicative body. The theoretical foundation assumes as presuppositions the corporeity and the singularization of the circus activities of the school as a production of the children's collective, respecting the form of production of the children's cultures. The research is qualitative and will be carried out in a public school in the city of Bauru-SP. A project of teaching and learning of circus activities will be developed during a semester, with weekly classes lasting 100 minutes. The participants in the teaching process will be the children of a class of 5th grade elementary school, approximately 30 boys and girls, comprising the age group between 10 and 11 years. Also participating in the research will be the class teacher and the schools director. The techniques of data collection will be the observation and construction of the field diary, focus group, semi-structured interview and final sharing/presentation of the students. The data will be analyzed in light of the assumptions of corporeality, circus activities and the sociology of childhood, promoting an incursion in the interweaving between body, education and infantile culture. It is expected to know, value and disseminate the results of the educational work with the circus activities with the intention of contributing to the transformations of the interpersonal relations in the school routine.
