Abstract

Aiming to contribute to the thematic project FragUrb, Processo Fapesp n. 2018 / 07701-8, this scientific initiation research aims to analyze the trajectory of the company MRV Engenharia S/A. from its origin in the year 1979 to the most recent period, its initial performance, the opening of its capital in the stock exchange and its expansion from the My Home My Life Program (PMCMV). In the analysis of these processes we will seek to verify the concrete conditions of the expansion of the geographical area of its real estate production, which is configured as a spatial rescheduling of its performance. In addition to interviews, official company information searches, specialized journals and bibliography will be used as research sources, information available in the company's financial reports on the Mercantile and Futures Exchange (BMF) and the PMCMV. From this point of view the scale of the approach is national. With regard to the nine cities analyzed in the thematic project will be observed in the scale of each city the typologies produced, the income bands for which they are destined and their locations. The research, therefore, articulates elements of recent real estate economic geography in Brazil with elements of urban geography, focusing the analysis on the trajectory of a significant company of the previous conjuncture.
