Abstract

The development of cellulosic bioethanol technology, in which the bagasse is used to produce bioethanol, has generated interest in the development of sugarcane, which has more fiber and biomass. The analysis of crosses with ancestor genotypes of sugarcane comes to fulfill the need to increase the genetic background used in the development of modern commercial hybrids. In this project, we will evaluate biochemical parameters related to the cell wall components of cane genotypes contrasting to the number of tillers.
