Abstract

It is essential that sustainable technologies are studied and adopted in agriculture to make better use of natural resources. Plants need phosphorus to grow and achieve high yields, but low availability of this nutrient in the soil and the small efficiency of phosphorus fertilization requires high doses of P2O5 are applied. On the other hand, arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (FMAs) are associated in symbiosis with the plants and, in addition to promoting greater crop growth, contribute to the absorption of phosphorus from the soil previously not accessible by the roots. Thus, the objective of the work will be to evaluate the benefits of using a Glomus intraradices inoculant for the development of plants and to increase the efficiency of phosphate fertilization in second crop maize. The work will be developed in the municipality of Selvíria/MS, 2019 and 2020 crops, in no-tillage area in the initial phase of implementation. The experimental design will be of randomized blocks in subdivided plots scheme, whose plots will be constituted by the doses of P2O5 in the sowing of the crop (0; 25; 50; 75 and 100% of the recommended one for the crop in the area) and the subplots composed by doses of the inoculant containing the FMA Glomus intraradices (0, 60, 120 and 180 g ha-1). Will evaluations of production and productivity components, leaf macronutrient content, leaf chlorophyll content, spore count in percentage of soil and mycorrhizal roots. (AU)
