Abstract

The Zika Virus has become a concern to public health in Brazil and other American countries, since 2015, mainly due to the reports of microcephaly in new-borns and Guillain-Barré syndrome both related to the viral infection. Since then, a great amount of researches are dedicated to enlighten the interaction between the virus and its host. In this context, the present study aims to evaluate a possible correlation of KIR genes polymorphisms and in vitro virus exposed cells viral charge. If the results show this potential association, it will be able to identify biomarkers that can favor or protect the cell-virus interaction.
