Abstract

The Scientific Initiation (IC) project presented here aims to analyze academic articles in the area of teacher education and higher education curriculum, specifically in the teaching of English literature. Based on the collection of fifteen articles published in the Education Resources Information Center (ERIC) platform, the research has as a general objective, based on a qualitative documentary analysis, to understand what has been discussed about the training of English literature teachers within the last five years, from 2015 to 2019. Thus, the specific objectives are to establish a correlation between the importance of this platform with regard to teacher training and to analyze the content applied for such a premise. In this context, this project also assesses in which countries the issue has been discussed and how. In addition to understanding the ERIC platform and its remarkable relevance to studies in the field of education, it is hoped that this research contributes to the discussions that surround teaching literature in higher education.
