Abstract

The objective of this project is the study of the thought of the Paraguayan sociologist Mauricio Schvartzman. I depart from the hypothesis that the work of this author represents an important moment in the process of nationalization of Marxism in Paraguay. By nationalization I understand, as suggested by RICUPERO (2000), the translation of the Marxist approach to understand the national and regional specificities of the analyzed reality. To carry out this research I will use a contextualist approach that will allow me to reconstitute the movement of the author's works from the intellectual and political context in which they were produced.
