Abstract

Objective: to identify the perceived knowledge gains of caregivers in the care of patients using Enteral Nutritional Therapy, after training with different educational strategies. Method: This study will be carried out in stages: Step 1: Methodological study of the construction and validation of the multiprofessional educational booklet for health education of caregivers and patients using Enteral Nutritional Therapy; Step 2: A quasi-experimental study, with a quantitative approach and descriptive character, in which the phases of educational interventions will occur. They are: (1) Traditional education (expository class): (2) Traditional education in the educational primer and traditional education (expository dialogues) with the support of skills training in a simulated clinical setting. For Stage 1 the judges will be invited through the "snowball" technique, the inclusion of these will occur according to Fehring's adapted criteria to validate an educational leaflet through a scale of agreement of appearance and content of the material, following the the Delphi Technique will be used to obtain the maximum agreement of the judges. Descriptive contributions will be made for content analysis. After the organization of the data, a careful analysis of the considerations and suggestions made by the experts and the calculation of the Content Validation Index will be performed. Participants in Steps 2 and 3 will be the caregivers of patients using the Initial Enteral Nutritional Therapy selected through a convenience sample. Caregivers selected should be the same to participate in all phases of the study. The data obtained will be submitted to statistical analysis. (AU)
