Abstract

This scientific initiation project is linked to the thematic project (# 2017 / 2590-2) and also to the preliminary study linked to it, that has been running since July / 2019. The objective of this study and scholarship of Scientific Initiation (CI), which will be developed in collaboration with students from two high schools of Santos - Aristóteles Ferreira State Technical School and Bartolomeu de Gusmão State School - It is to describe how young high school students from public schools in the city of Santos access the Internet and have their relationships mediated by relationship platforms and how they are part of socialization and learning for sexuality and gender. The specific contribution of this CI is to describe and discuss the data on internet access obtained from the application of the preliminary study questionnaire underway in triangulation with content of ethnographic records of the school daily, conducting conversation and workshops with students. Thus, it will result in subsidies on the theme to compose methodologies for workshops of the Thematic project. The scholarship holder will integrate the team form "Baixada Santista" of tematic project (#2017/2590-2) and will do daily monitoring and data collection for the preliminary study in the both schools mentioned above. The Conversation rounds and workshops on the use of digital platforms, a contribution of this IC, will be held at Aristoteles Ferreira Technical School. The activities of the scholarship holder will consist of: (1) follow up the consent process of the two mentioned schools that joined the USP High School Scientific Initiation Diversity Project (IC-EM-2019) and the IC-EM 2019-2020 of UNIFESP ; (2) contribute to the training process in research methodology and ethics and the training of the questionnaire conducted with the secondary students of the referred schools, included as IC-MS scholars and volunteers; (3) perform ethnography on the daily relations of ETECAF permeated by digital technologies, with the contribution of IC-MS scholarship students and volunteers; (4) to collaborate in the application and analysis of the first part (sociodemographic) of the questionnaire in test of the thematic research performed by the IC-MS fellows and volunteers; (5) hold at least two workshops on digital platforms and applications with students; (6) collaborate in obtaining the consent of the schools invited to participate in the next stages of the thematic study planned for the first half of 2020; (7) prepare records of the research process and partial and final reports; (8) participate in formative/scientific events pertinent to the universe of the thematic study; (9) contribute to the elaboration of a scientific article of the research process.
