Abstract Associated with the Scientific Initiation Process Nº: 2018/01574-4, which ethical and critically discuss human-nature relationship by developing playful science diffusion activities using photo representation of animals, the present project applies for a four-month research internship. During the execution of the mentioned process, the researchers noticed the need of a deeper and better comprehension of three theoretical backgrounds: Critical Animal Studies (CAS), Critical Animal Pedagogy (CAP) and Posthumanist theory. These are aligned with the non-anthropocentric perspective developed within D.I.A.N., the research line that contemplates this presented work, and would be highly useful for enhancing all the activities, discussions and results analysis proposed by it. This project apply, therefore, for four months of studies with Prof. Dr. Helena Pedersen, affiliated with the research area Education for Sustainable Development at the Department of Pedagogical, Curricular and Professional Studies from the University of Gothenburg and the most qualified researcher working with Critical Animal Studies and Critical Animal Pedagogy worldwide. The activities developed in Brazil and the data previously gathered will be presented and discussed with the professor and her coworkers, providing a theoretical and practical knowledge essential for the improvement of futures works. In addition, this internship would help to supply the lack of Brazilian scientific research related with CAS, CAP and Posthumanist theories, which are crucial for the development of a critical environmental and science education/diffusion, addressing controversial socio-scientific and socio-environmental issues present in our society.
