Abstract

Conventional water treatments do not completely degrade emerging pollutants such as perfluoroalkyl, pharmaceuticals and personal care products and the increase of these substances in urban wastewater has been a frequent concern. Given the problems that such substances can cause to the population's health, this project aims to degrade emerging pollutants from urban wastewater. For this, advanced oxidation processes based on ozonation will be employed with the FluHelik photoreactor.(AU)
