Abstract

This research project aims to investigate, through focus groups sessions and semistructured interviews, the behaviour of digital network plataforms users, related to the selection and validation of information, primarily about national political facts and during electoral campaing periods. Firstly, it searchs to answer how these users get informed throughout social network plataforms, how the information gathered shape their political opinions, and how they use it in their argumentative and discoursive process. The second dimension of the project is to analyse the percetion that these users have of the influention of the social networks in their opnions, and the perception about the credibility of the information found in these plataforms. Thereafter these two dimensional analysis of subjetive construction of values and opinions (behavior and perception, the goal is to contribute with the comprehension of how the technical, algorithmical and regulated structure of the digital technology influences in the construction of opinative behavior and perception of the world, and in what measure the users are aware of this impact, as well as the level of informational control in these environments.
