Quantitative measures of postural control are necessary to measure the balance of patients with Parkinson's disease. Data from postural control in a quiet posture measured through the force plate contribute to identify possible changes in the balance between the stages of the disease and the effects of dopaminergic medication. A public data set including quantitative measures of postural control and clinical scales can be used in future investigations of balance in Parkinson’s disease. The aim of the study is to evaluate the effect of dopaminergic medication on postural control in patients with Parkinson's disease and to provide a public data set of quantitative measures of postural control in quiet posture. For this, balance will be assessed 2using motor scales and the center of pressure in quiet posture of 40 patients with Parkinson’s disease will be measured. Of these, 25 patients have already been collected. It is hoped to contribute so that different research groups in the world have access to reference data and a better understanding of the effects of dopaminergic medication on postural control. (AU)
