Abstract

Tourism is an activity of significant relevance on the world stage. In Brazil, water availability means that many rivers are used for water tourism, in addition to coastal areas. Thus, inland cities also benefit from the activity, using natural resources as a means of attraction for people. In the interior of São Paulo, some municipalities use their rivers for recreational and tourist purposes. This study aims to analyze the use and environmental conditions of water resources in the municipalities of Presidente Epitácio, Martinópolis and Rancharia, in the light of the guidelines for tourism in the State of São Paulo, considering the proposed tourist resort and municipality of tourist interest classifications in State Law N ° 1261. Bibliographic and documentary surveys will be carried out with the studied municipalities, field work with on-site observations and application of protocols for assessing environmental conditions, in addition to interviews with public managers, linked to the areas of environment and tourism in the municipalities.
