Abstract The most widely studied nanomaterials are metallic nanoparticles, and among these, silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) is one of the promising candidate exist in nature. Therefore, the studies will highlight various possibilities of applications of AgNPs in the field of medical, food, pharmaceutical, diagnostic, and many others. To consider the biotechnological potential of AgNPs application, it is also important that the use of AgNPs and the disposal of their waste should be carried out safely to the man, animals and the environment. Due to this purpose, the interactions of AgNPs from different origins of living organisms and with the environment it required to further studied and explore. However, the Biogenic AgNPs was obtained from the extremophile fungus Aspergillus tubingensis which have excellent antimicrobial activity, and this research proposal aims to evaluate the possible toxic effects of these AgNPs on exotic fish species; Zebrafish (Danio rerio), Tilápia-do-Nilo (Oreochromis niloticus), and also the native species of Lambari (Deuterodon iguape). Furthermore, the AgNPs will be synthesize from the fungus culture and also the physicochemical characterization of the AgNPs will be performed through UV-Vis spectroscopy, Polydispersion Index (PDI), determination of Zeta potential, Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR). The Fishes will be exposed to AgNPs so, the mean lethal concentration (LC50), behavior and clinical signs, histopathological analysis of organs, accumulation of metal in organs, oxygen consumption and ammonia excretion, and analysis of the expression of genes that are involved in stress, growth and neurodevelopment will be evaluated.
