Abstract

This scientific initiation project aims to analyze the convergence of interests in the fight against terrorism, in the light of the studies on the power of Michel Foucault and the post-colonial studies on the Muslin identity in Western countries. To this order, a case study is applied on measures adopted for the de-radicalization of individuals in France, after the 2015 attacks, extended it until 2019. This period makes clear how counterterrorism efforts overlapped the counter-radicalization and de-radicalization policies to such an extent that they now hinder these new efforts, given the systematic hoax created around the Muslim identity, corroborating the image of the "terrorist" Islamic". Such entanglement of an unassailable identity with a security problem is a multiplier of effects for globalized economic policy. Therefore, the empirical part of the research is based both on official documents from the French government and the European Union, as well as documents from organizations in Muslim countries and reports by Muslim individuals relevant to radicalization. We aim to use International Relations as a field of study for diversity, to the expansion of critical analysis on terrorism.
