Abstract

This research seeks to find out if interdisciplinarity between mathematical concepts and classical ballet can lead to fruitful teaching. The study looks for cross-references between one area and another. The proposal is to analyze how ballet classes can provide, to the students involved, activities of choreographic creations that require the elaboration of movement coordinate through mathematical symbols, including combinations, platonic geometries and probabilities. The verification of the results will happen through questionnaires based on the student's interaction and self-reflection about the applied technique. Thus, the project will seek to answer whether interdisciplinary techniques can assist in the learning of ballet and mathematics.
