Abstract In this project we will study, theoretically and experimentally, the influence of dissipation and of optical nonlinearities over optomechanical devices. Those effects are the main performance limiting factors in optomechanical devices. Nevertheless under certain conditions, when correctly optimized, they can enhance the optomechanical interaction. Through our project we will use new materials and develop new geometries and experimental techniques both for the suppression and for the optimization of nonlinear effects. (AU) | |
