Abstract

In poultry farming, mineral feed supplementation is essential for animal development, bone formation, feed intake and metabolism. The main sources used for this supplementation in broiler chickens are inorganic, like sulfate and oxides. The inorganic sources are non-renewable, it has low bioavailability due to its rapid dissociation and negative interactions in the gastrointestinal tract. Therefore, it is necessary to study new sources of supplementation such as hydroxychlorides, which favor the absorption and stability of the minerals in the feed. Therefore, this research will be conducted to evaluate mineral supplementation with sources of hydroxychlorides (copper, manganese and zinc) in relation to inorganic source (sulfate), which is the standard source. Thus, 2,160 one-day-old male Cobb500 chicks will be housed, distributed in a completely randomized design with 8 treatments and 9replicates, totaling 72 pens with 30 birds each. The treatments will be: T1: 15ppm Cu sulfate + 80 ppm Mn sulfate + 80 ppm zinc sulfate and AGP (avilamycin); T2: 15 ppm Cu sulphate, 80 ppm Mn sulphate, 80 ppm zinc sulphate; T3: 125 ppm Cu sulfate, 80 ppm Mn sulfate, 80 ppm Zn sulfate; T4: 15 ppm of hydroxychloride Cu, 40 ppm of hydroxychloride Mn and 40 ppm of hydroxychloride Zn; T5: 15 ppm of hydroxychloride Cu, 80 ppm of hydroxychloride Mn and 80 ppm of hydroxychloride Zn; T6: 125 ppm of hydroxychloride Cu, 40 ppm of hydroxychloride Mn and 40 ppm of hydroxychloride Zn; T7: 125 ppm of hydroxychloride Cu, 80 ppm of hydroxychloride Mn and 80 ppm of hydroxychloride Zn; T8: 250 ppm of hydroxychloride Cu, 40 ppm of hydroxychloride Mn and 40 ppm of hydroxychloride Zn. At 42 days of age, the legs of the broilers will be collected to analyze the bone quality of the tibia testing the bone strength and density, dry matter and ash, as well as the quality of the litter and feet of the animals.
