Abstract

The student will investigate nonlinear optical properties of semiconductor nanomaterials, focusing on the two-photon absorption and nonlinear refraction processes. During the first year of her work in our group, the student investigated the size dependence of two-photon absorption in perovskite quantum dots. In the current project, she will use different techniques, including Z-scan and MPAPS to investigate the influence of size and shape on the two-photon absorption and nonlinear refractive index of perovskite quantum dots and nanoplatelets.
