Abstract

In this project, we intend to study integrated problems of aircraft routing with allocation of crews and passengers in the context of the non-regular air transport industry. These problems encompass complex decisions in a highly dynamic environment that must respect several aviation rules, where detailed representations need to be made efficiently, as they involve high operating costs. There is a lack in operations research's literature regarding non-regular air transport, which has significant differences from the regular transport. Thus, the objective of the project is to propose optimization models capable of adequately representing such situations, as well as developing exact and heuristic solution methods that are effective in practice, offering quality solutions in reasonable computational times. For this, real cases of two companies belonging to the non-regular air transport sector will be addressed in the research, in order to identify and validate the constraints relevant to the problems in question. The intention is to perform computational experiments with instances defined from real data, provided by these companies, and instances available in the literature. This work is related to the planned activities in the FAPESP Thematic Project 2016/ 01860-1: "Cutting stock, bin packing, lot sizing, production scheduling, routing, location and their integration industrial and logistical contexts".
