Abstract

Recently, a wide variety of different results in fluctuations of random particle systems has been discovered, unraveling striking connections, until not so long ago undreamed of, between seemingly different models in statistical mechanics. Such results are only possible in virtue of the development of methods from representation theory applied to probability, in what is now known by the name of integrable probability. The main goal of this proposal is to study one of the central objects in this theory, the Schur processes, and how they can be applied in the analysis of some classical particle systems as the TASEP.
