Abstract

This research is inserted in the context of the professional and institutional approach of the architect in the universe of popular housing, from the appearance of new technical groups of architecture working in the domestic production of housing since the 2000s. have taken a conflicted and polarized look, distinguishing technical advice and technical assistance. However, this perspective hides the heterogeneity of modalities of practices emerging from different matrices, arrangements, public and private structures throughout Brazil today. Faced with this problem, the objective of this project is to investigate the narratives and arrangements that emerged at the national level and also to analyze the postures and modus operandi of these technical groups operating in the different São Paulo territories. To this end, a qualitative research approach is adopted, based on the combination of the methods of fieldwork and documentary research. The contribution of this research consists in the identification, critical analysis and dissemination of these new and multiple architectural practices in popular housing, which are being designed with convergent and divergent logics of action in contemporary times.
