Abstract

This research has the general objective of analyzing the nursing care offered to people suspected and / or diagnosed with Covid-19 in the UPA's. It is an exploratory and descriptive field research, using quantitative variables to collect data on the object of the study. This research will be carried out in the 3 emergency units of São Carlos-São Paulo and the research population will be composed of 120 professionals from the nursing team. The data will be collected through a questionnaire self-answered by the participants. The instrument for data collection will be built based on the clinical management protocols of Covid-19 of the Ministry of Health, issues related to routine, use of individual protection equipment, nursing care, difficulties, weaknesses, among others, will also be included. After the construction of the instrument, it will be evaluated by three specialists in the field to verify the pertinence and suitability of the instrument. The data will be analyzed in Program R, where t-tests will be performed to compare means and chi-square tests to study the association with categorical data. For all comparisons, a significance level of 5% will be adopted. The project will be sent to the Ethics Committee of the Federal University of São Carlos for consideration. (AU)
