Abstract

The objective is study flutter aeroelastic phenomena in UAV (unmanned aerial vehicles) aircrafts built in SAE Aerodesign competition scope, besides analysis and optimization of glass fiber as reinforcement element. The model approach the structural project of a wing, its computational modelling and validation tests. The computational branch covers a finite element model to natural frequency extraction in Abaqus software as well as a stick model, which is going to be coupled to an aerodynamic mesh. This linking is used to determine flutter velocity in Femap software. The validation tests consists on tests of materials, a ground vibration test (GVT), whose results will be used to calibrate the computational model, besides a flutter experiment on a wind blower that will validate the flutter velocity obtained in Femap.(AU)
