Abstract

Although technological advances have brought several advantages to today's society, one must also be concerned with what this can do for the environment. Environmental engineering seeks to assess and mitigate the negative results generated by human actions on the environment so that it does not harm both parties. Therefore, the proposed research aims to analyze the erosive processes in the municipality of Regente Feijó - SP which, despite being natural processes, are accelerated according to uses, becoming a serious environmental problem. For the proposed analysis, Ross's environmental fragility (1996) methodology will be used, which will diagnose variables such as relief, soil, vegetation use, and cover and climatic aspects, to identify areas susceptible to erosive processes.
