Abstract

In order to evaluate good practices in research data repositories, frameworks, principles and tools are developed by several international institutions. In this sense, and in the context of Open Science that permeate the scientific community globally, this study is based on the scenario of large data production by researchers. These data, in order to generate greater visibility for the researcher and the institution, need adequate management in repositories, which in turn, need to follow some essential characteristics of good practices. Through an exploratory and descriptive research with a quantitative approach, this study aims to evaluate good practices in institutional research data repositories in the State of São Paulo based on the model COAR Community Good Practices Framework for Repositories and the FAIR Principles. The data will be compiled into an online form in a checklist format. As a result, there will be reports with the characteristics followed or not by the repository and its data, thus serving as a source to analyze the current context regarding good practices and as feedback for institutions, ensuring that they can conform to the frameworks and international principles.
