Abstract

This research project seeks to understand the process of conceptual elaboration in children - more specifically, in children at the transition age between childhood and adolescence - taking into consideration the relations between imagination and concept formation, such as those brought upon by Vygotsky. Starting from field experience in an internship and a preliminary study about the subject, questions arise around the interrelations between the processes mentioned above, which integrate a complex functional dynamic. For this end, it is intended to analyze, from a historical-cultural point of view, what there is to say about these questions in a framework that yearns to encompass both a theoretical foundation and field research for praxis and observation.(AU)
