Abstract

Complex networks have been vastly applied in statistical analysis of the structure of transportation networks, in particular, to study airport networks, where the nodes of the network describe the airports, and the interactions between them (existence of flights) are described by edges connecting them. In this work, we propose the study of the Brazilian airport network using weighted networks in order to represent the strength of the connection by the number of flights between airports. We will analyze Brazilian airport networks monthly and we will describe the structure of the networks using centrality measures. Using this analysis, we will verify if the structure of the network changed during the pandemic caused by COVID-19. (AU)
