Abstract

This project plan involves the development of a framework for control reconfiguration of sensor faults in continuous time switched affine linear systems (SALS) with disturbances using a bank of reduced-order sliding mode observers (ROSMO) as virtual sensors (VSE) in an active fault-tolerant control (AFTC) scheme. The ROSMO approach is useful for estimating faulty sensor measurements with fewer flawless outputs. The fault time, location, type, and magnitude will be assumed known in this research. To improve reconfigurability and robustness, a sliding mode-based switching law with gain scheduling control for each fault along with a bank of ROSMO is considered. The Lyapunov approach is used for deriving the stability conditions in terms of LMIs. Applications in micro-grids and DC-DC converters in power networks are considered. (AU)
