Abstract

The ENEM - National Secondary Education Examination - is a test that seeks to assess the performance and quality of teaching in Brazilian territory. Not only that, since 2004 the exam has also been used as a way of evaluating candidates that apply to courses of higher education. Considered the biggest test in the country, the program revolutionized the education market. Currently, most schools have as their main objective the training of their students to take the exam. Due to its magnitude, there is obviously a great variety of profiles among its subscribers. Even so, Brazil still lacks studies that encompass both the particularities and the performance of its participants. With this in mind, the performance of various subgroups of participants with specific difficulties, such as attention deficit or autism spectrum disorder, will be studied when compared to the national average. In addition, this study seeks to carry out an analysis of the difficulties encountered in developing a good essay - one of the most impactful items for a good grade. We believe that with this information organized and well-founded, the results of this project can be used as parameters in the creation of more specific and flexible programs of study that are adaptable to the reality of the participants. After all, when one knows the main obstacles in the evolution of results, choosing countermeasures becomes simpler. (AU)
