Abstract

The intent of this Scientific Initiation investigation is to trace a search of the discussed contents about teacher education in the following journals: Educação e Sociedade: Revista de Ciência da Educação; Pro-posições e Ensaio: Avaliação e Políticas Públicas em Educação and this is an extension of the IC research funded by FAPESP, Tendências acerca da formação docente em periódicos acadêmicos brasileiros (FAPESP - proc. nº 2014/17915-4). The objective is to line an overview of the discussions on teacher education in these journals in order to understand which debates permeate this theme in Education and what perspectives are being taken by the agents in this field. It is also noted that this survey on teacher education is not about a specific degree of the middle and higher school or the under graduation, as well as the relevance of this investigation is to contribute to the educational field in order to promote scientific data to teachers and researchers in their different levels of education, considering they will have access to what the field agents discuss in these journals. This research will be developed under qualitative research, by means of documentary analysis and will count on the contribution of authors such as António Nóvoa, Denice Barbara Catani, Maria Helena Souza Patto, Paula Perin Vicentini, Pierre Bourdieu and others who will be mentioned throughout the research. As a result, it is expected to bring to the public the debate produced by journals on teacher education to understand the movements (changes and permanences) in the Brazilian educational field, between 2015-2020 compared to 2010-2014.
