Abstract

This proposal concerns the continuity of the project to characterize quality of native fruits of the Atlantic Forest, for the 2022 and part of 2023 harvests. In the previous harvests (2021 and 2020) the progress of the collections was impacted due to the occurrence of the COVID-19 pandemic and adverse weather events. Complementing the studies, for this harvest, the fruits will be harvested ripe and evaluated for: mass of whole fruit, yield, height, diameter, shape, soluble solids, titratable acidity, soluble tannins, anthocyanins, and carotenoids. With the development of this project in conjunction with the students of scientific initiation, we seek to characterize the quality of cambucis, uvaias, grumixamas and cherries of Rio-Grande, evaluating their physical and chemical attributes, and offer training to students of scientific initiation in the area of postharvest conservation of horticultural products.
