Abstract

Biomedical materials, particularly calcium phosphates, are beneficial for bone restorations because their chemical composition is similar to the composition of human bone, which favors the interaction in the implementation of calcium phosphate in the human body. This research focuses on the electrodeposition of calcium phosphate with iron oxide nanoparticles on a titanium substrate coated with electrodeposited magnesium oxide. The substrates must be placed in a piranha bath for 1 hour to clean the surface before electroplating with a constant current. The electrolyte for electrodeposition of magnesium oxide MgO * 6H2O with a concentration of 0.05M in MiliQ water with the addition of 2.50g/L of NaCl. Next, the electrodeposition of calcium phosphate will be carried out, which is composed of CaCl2 * H2O and H9N2O4P with Ca/P in a proportion of 1.67 in MiliQ with the pH adjusted to 3.0. NaCl will be used to increase conductivity and iron nanoparticles. Iron oxide electrolyte will be prepared at 0.1M Cl2Fe * 4H2O in MiliQ water. After all the processes of obtaining samples with magnesium oxide, calcium phosphate, and iron oxide, analyses will be carried out with techniques such as FTIR, XRD, SEM, Confocal Microscopy, corrosion, and biological assays.(AU)
