Abstract

This internship proposal is linked to the research project entitled "Walking and being a woman in the city: everyday experiences in the periphery" (process no. 2020/12413-1), which seeks to understand urban experimentation, starting from the experience of women in their paths on an articulated urban space of Presidente Prudente/SP, historically stigmatized in the dimensions of poverty, marginalization and violence. For this, contradictions and conflicts in the production of space will be considered, taking into account the structural logic of hegemonic masculinities and the ways in which these women appropriate and/or face space. The methodological procedures are based on the urban paths followed, in order to indemnify the urban experience from the experience of these women. Thus, the following project of the Scholarship of Internship and Research and Exterior (BEPE), aims to investigate theoretically and methodologically the city of Mexico, with the objective of contributing to the ongoing research in Brazil, considering the singularities and pluralities of Latin American cities, considering their specific realities.
