Abstract

This work seeks to quantitatively analyze the position of the Brazilian press on Brazilian Foreign Policy regarding Brazil-China Relations between 2019 and 2022, in order to identify the position adopted by some of the most relevant vehicles of the written press in Brazil - Folha de S. Paulo, Gazeta do Povo, O Estado de S. Paulo, O Globo and Valor Econômico - in light of the actions of the Bolsonaro government. The analysis, developed through journalistic framing concepts, will focus exclusively on opinion articles and editorials from the periodicals. Through the analysis of information contained in the database of the Observatório de Política Externa an Imprensa, the project aims to contribute to a study on the quantitative support of the critical orientation of Brazilian journalism to the conduct of National Foreign Policy.(AU)
