Abstract

This study aims to analyze the incidence and mortality coefficients by Covid-19 in children and adolescents in Brazilian regions and the relationship with socioeconomic and health indicators. This is an ecological, analytical and observational study, with a quantitative method of investigation. In this study, all reported cases of Covid-19 in children (from 0 to 11 years old 11 months and 29 days old, as defined in the Child and Adolescent Statute) and adolescents (from 12 to 18 years old, as defined in the Child and Adolescent Statute) will be considered. Adolescent) in all Brazilian municipalities. Data related to Covid-19 will be collected through access to the Ministry of Health system, OpenDataSUS, and socioeconomic data will be obtained from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics. The period will cover data from the registration of the first case of Covid-19 in Brazil on February 25, 2020, to February 25, 2022. The collected data will be entered into a matrix for analysis in Microsoft 2016. The variables will be analyzed in a descriptive and bivariate analysis, through Spearman correlation analysis with a significance level of 5%, in the R Studio Program.(AU)
