Abstract
This research aims to analyze the challenges experienced by Early Childhood Education professionals in welcoming children and families in the return of face-to-face care during the Covid-19 pandemic, aiming at the collective construction of educational practices that meet the demands of these subjects. This is an action research that will be carried out in two Early Childhood Education Centers in the city of Campinas, involving the entire school community. The methodological procedures for data collection combine document analysis and focus groups. Among the expected results are: the establishment of welcoming educational practices that respect the rights and needs of babies and young children during this pandemic period; the qualification of democratic management through the improvement of collective work to meet the demands presented by children, teachers, agents, support staff and families; the production of knowledge about Early Childhood Education in the period of the pandemic involving the educational practices carried out, the reflections undertaken, and the theoretical references adopted; the expansion of the participation of families in the educational context in order to enhance the sharing of the education of babies and children; strengthening research into educational practice and dialogue between university and basic education.
