Abstract

The foster care of children and adolescents happens when the resources or possibilities for the permanence of the children or adolescents in their original family are exhausted and, consequently, the separation from the family takes place as a way to ensure their protection. In this scenario, the foster home one of the institutional foster care services emerges as a proposal for providing personalized and small group care by caregivers who stimulate the development of effective relationships similar to the family environment. It is necessary to discuss and problematize the services provided to attend to the rights to family and community life, considering that, in foster care situations, the child is one less heard. Thus, this qualitative study has the objective of analyzing the experiences of children and adolescents in-home care. To this purpose, semistructured interviews will be carried out, with children and adolescents between 8 and 17 years old, remotely, and later, will be transcribed and submitted to content analysis.(AU)
