Abstract

The research proposes to analyze the institutional agents' performance in the elaboration's process of the Dossier presented to UNESCO about the "Paisaje Cultural Cafetero" - PCCC, verifying which, and how, assets and narratives were considered and connected to the patrimonialization's process of the Colombian's coffee culture and what dialogue this case can offer to think about the São Paulo's coffee heritage. For that, the documentation that supported the preparation of this Dossier will be taken as research instrument, as well as the actions and understanding of this group about the elements and cultural assets that constitute the coffee heritage. It is believed that this approach will be able to reflect the current notion of heritage in the PCCC' Dossier, as well as the narratives and memories that were considered and linked to that heritage. Such an approach may also provide another perspective - different, but close - to think about the coffee cultural's patrimonialization in São Paulo, the subject of the master's research. Both patrimonialization processes show that, when they are not able to clearly include the plurality of elements related to that universe, there is a significant limitation on the narratives and memories communicated by such actions and that are important and formative of their respective coffee's heritage. In this sense, analyzing both heritages in a comparative perspective will offer a different view to understand why the Brazilian process does not develop, as well as to be an innovative approach, since there are still no researches that focus on those objects and contexts simultaneously.
