Abstract With the growing availability of data from real systems in areas such as biology, sociology, physics, medicine and economy, a proportional expansion on the studies developed in complex networks allowed the rise of a number of techniques for analysis and prediction of real dynamic systems, as done in the fields of information propagation and epidemics in social networks. Alongside those developments and following an equally fast paced expansion, considerable advances have been made in the field of machine learning, which became an important tool for both academic and business research. % In this project, the connection of these two fields will be made in the context of synchronization of non-linear systems, using the method of reservoir computing to build the neural networks that will be used in the modelling of those systems. The results of this study will allow the reconstruction of the dynamics of real systems, empathising on the extraction of structural characteristics of the network that allows the investigation of the phenomena of synchronization and information propagation. | |
