Abstract

There is no electronic method able to measure laser pulses shorter than 10-12 s (1 ps), consequently, for those mesaurements, it is necessary to apply methods based on nonlinear optical phenomena, such as second harmonic generation and two-photon absorption. In this proposal, we will develop a system for ultrashort pulses measurements (~100 fs) based on the photoluminescence excited by two-photon absorption. It is expected that this system will be able to measure ultrashort pulses at a broad spectral range and for laser systems operating at repetition rates varying from few Hz to MHz
