Abstract

The Scientific Initiation grant for this project aims to make available, at the end of the first year of the project, a structured database following software architecture practices. This will allow graduate students to work directly on modeling and implementing models of chemical, biochemical and thermochemical conversion of residues from soy, citrus and coffee chains when starting their activities. In this way, for graduate scholarship holders, there will be no need for additional time to study software or databases. The advisor (Responsible Researcher) will plan, model and establish the main guidelines of the software to be developed. The Scientific Initiation student will, based on these guidelines, formalize these ideas using object-oriented language and tools already used by academia and industry as a standard for documentation and description of software, such as UML®. The development of an ontology, in this context, is an important step, as it will allow standardizing and classifying different concepts to be used throughout the entire project.
