Abstract

The scientific rigor of a research is defined by the quality of the data collected and analyzed in the course of the investigation, which is why it is essential to establish a close relationship with the field and context of the investigated object as a way of clarifying doubts, collecting documents and gathering information in order to vunderstand the networks of meanings, symbolic systems, practices and socio-historical values from the context that is not explored in the narrative. In this sense, our concern is to respond to the main hypothesis of the project Violence and historical experience in Guinea-Bissau: the literary form and the social process in Abdulai Sila and Filinto de Barros, in which it presupposes the literary form of Mistida and Kikia Matcho, to the same extent that it marks the different faces of violence, it also articulates the contradictions and tensions of the historical, social and political process of formation of current Guinean society. To confirm this hypothesis, the proposal for the research internship project suggests an extensive collection of data divided into different files on which it is possible to analyze both the historiographies about violence and the historical experience in Guinea-Bissau and the literary forms and social process in the two works. Violence and historical experience are understood from the perspective of Ginzburg (2012), according to which the aesthetics of violence works with the tense movement between life and death, allows observing the capacity for collective destruction demonstrated in the past as a way of understanding the present.
