Abstract

Neste projeto propõe-se sintetizar e caracterizar materiais ferroelétricos e multiferroicos, na forma de filmes finos (depositados por "RF Sputtering"), monólitos cerâmicos (por métodos convencionais e por "Spark Plasma Sintering" - SPS) e/ou monocristais (pela técnica Bridgmann), preparados pelo bolsista e integrantes da equipe integrante do projeto temático. Caracterizações serão realizadas visando maximizar e sintonizar suas propriedades multiferroicas (ferroelétricas/magnéticas), piezoelétricas e fotovoltaicas, com vistas à aplicações desses materiais em conversores de energia mecânica ou solar em energia elétrica. Pretendemos preparar cerâmicas e filmes, ferroelétricos e multiferroicos, à base de perovskitas complexas de Pb(Fe,B)O3 (B = Nb, W, Ta, Ti) e soluções sólidas livres de chumbo à base de (Bi4,Ti3)O12 ou de K(Na,Nb)O3. O bolsista deverá dar suporte técnico científico aos demais integrantes do nosso grupo, para a utilização de técnicas experimentais, análise e representação de resultados experimentais, desenvolvimento de protótipos de dispositivos baseados na combinação do efeito fotovoltaico com as outras propriedades físicas de materiais ferroelétricos e multiferroicos investigados por outros integrantes da equipe.
