Abstract This research project focuses on vertical organic electrochemical transistors (v-OECTs) with the primary objectives of improving their switching time and understanding the threshold voltage behavior. Results will be compared with planar OECTs to evaluate the differences and performance enhancements achieved. The investigation into threshold voltage in v-OECTs aims to elucidate the possible relations between this parameter and the film's morphology and/or the electric-field distribution within the channel. Additionally, the project explores the application of these devices as complementary inverters and brain-inspired devices, showcasing their potential for advanced circuit design and neuromorphic computing.
